About us
At the Future Design Institute, we believe that organisations become more future-proof when they actively include the future in their decision-making. Too often, the focus is on the short term. That needs to change.
Inspired by the Japanese founders of the Future Design method – Tatsuyoshi Saijo and Yoshinori Nakagawa – we successfully apply this approach in the financial sector, among others.
The outcome? It works. Participants discover new perspectives, think more creatively, and experience the power of taking decisions with a long-term view.
A multidisciplinary team
Our team has a broad palette of disciplines, from business administration to philosophy and earth sciences, which we connect in our transition-scientific-knowledge. This enables our team to work with a wide range of organisations, as well as productively translate between different disciplines and sectors.

Our approach
We believe in a world where organisations make their decisions with an eye on the long term and future generations. With Future Design, we help organisations think outside the box, gain new insights and develop strategies that are sustainable and future-proof. We do this in a way that is energetic, empathic and action-oriented: no abstract visions of the future, but concrete tools that you can start using today.
